Working diligently with my librarian hat on. I am really proud of how well we took care of our things and collectables…just kinda forgot. We have hundreds of quality pieces…some seldom seen especially in the U.S. Some are rare or at least hard to find. I welcome International Buyers…I know you have to pay high taxes for both countries …and it takes forever, but collecting is like that, I know.

If the record is a mess - you will know about it and see it, if it was a cut out, I will show and tell.  Nonsmoking home, original owners (okay a few finds in thrifting Years ago)...Happy to pass on to someone who wants it.

"...Bill Martin wrote in 1998, "for sheer formal inventiveness, the most important progressive rock record of 1973 was... Larks' Tongues in Aspic", adding that listening to this album and Yes's Close to the Edge will demonstrate "what progressive rock is all about".

 AllMusic's retrospective review was resoundingly positive, marking every aspect of the band's transition from a jazz-influenced vein to a more experimental one as a complete success. They deemed John Wetton "the group's strongest singer/bassist since Greg Lake's departure." They especially praised the remastered edition.

 Robert Christgau's retrospective review gave a more ambivalent view, saying of the band's instrumental work, "not only doesn't it cook, which figures, it doesn't quite jell either."

In the Q & Mojo Classic Special Edition Pink Floyd & The Story of Prog Rock, the album came number 22 in its list of "40 Cosmic Rock Albums".

The progressive metal bands Dream Theater and Murmur both covered "Larks' Tongues in Aspic Pt. II". The cover is featured on the special edition of Dream Theater's album Black Clouds & Silver Linings... from Wikipedia

Vinyl collecting tips

“Check the edition of the record, i.e. whether or not it is a standard copy, a REPRESS (non-original), or a PROMO (usually worth a lot more as they were released in limited numbers before being commercially released).

*FIRST (1ST) PRESS: These LPs are the very first to come off the production line and are made directly from the mother discs, the matrix numbers usually end in -1.

*MATRIX NUMBERS: These are numbers found etched into the vinyl between the final track and label. Each side should have a different number. They tell you when are where the LP was made, if the matrix numbers end in -1 it usually means they are 1st pressings.

Bear in mind that some releases get a simultaneous release on multiple formats within the same territory, and then you have the releases that may be released at the same time in completely different territories often by different labels. Sometimes the of a first pressing simply does not exist.”
