PROG ROCK "In the Court of the Crimson King"

In The Court Of The Crimson King
was the first album released by King Crimson
The stunning artwork of the cover alone
makes this a very desirable album to own
The first track"21st Century Schizoid Man" blows you away the first time you hear it
Imagine the reception it must have got in 1969!
Pete Townsend of The Who described the Album as
"an uncanny masterpiece"
The founder member of King Crimson was Robert Fripp - Guitars
Greg Lake - bass, vocals (later member of Emerson, Lake & Palmer),
Ian McDonald - sax, clarinet, Mellotron (later, founder of Foreigner),
Michael Giles - drums,
Pete Sinfield - lyrics.
In the Court of the Crimson King was released after
the band supported the Rolling Stones in Hyde Park in 1969
where the band nearly stole the show

1969 1st pressing, pink label, i logo, Island records ILPS-9111.stamper codes are AV2 and B//3
gatefold sleeve by Ernest J Day
Vinyl Condition is EX+ no marks, no scratches,
only under strong daylight can paper scuffs be seen over the surface
It plays like new, it is superb
the labels are like new
the label on side two is slightly misaligned
so gives the impression that there is spindle wear but there is none.
The cover is described as VG+ as there are obvious signs of wear but no defacing
there is some curling to the sleeve opening of the right-hand gatefold
inner sleeve is VG+
I have kept the vinyl in a brand new dust cover to preserve it
