Description

This is a great LP. It's a UK stereo pressing entitled 'Red' By King Crimson on the UK Island label. This album was released in 1974 and features the Island pink rim labels. The catalogue number is ILPS 9308. The music varies from hard psychedelic guitar music to melodic orchestral pieces with all sorts of jazz and progressive ideas inserted along the way. This album will definitely appeal to fans of psychedelic and progressive music from the late 1960's and early 1970's. I can highly recommend it. 

OUTER SLEEVE - The laminated sleeve is in lovely condition with some minor wear and creasing. The top and bottom edges show very minor wear. The wording along the spine is 100% readable'. It states on the rear sleeve - 'George Chkiantz Engineer - Rod Thear Assistant Engineer - Equipment by : Chris, Tex, Harvey and Peter Walmsley - Cover by : John Kosh - Photography : Gered Mankowitz - Produced by King Crimson for E.G. Records at Olympic Sound Studios, London, England, July and August 1974. I've graded the sleeve Ex+.

INNER SLEEVE - This is a plain white paper type. 

RECORD - This is in fine condition and there are some very minor surface marks which result in minimal surface noise. On side two, especially on track one, there is some definite surface noiase which is audible druing quiet passages and there are some minor pops and claicks on both sides but there are definitely no jumps or skips on either side. The labels which are the Island 'pink rim' type with the palm tree logo with black wording are in fine condition. There are some minor spindle marks on both labels. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are - side one - ILPS 9308 A-3U (stampers - 1    CP     SEAN) - side two - ILPS 9308 B-6U (stampers - 1    CO     PECKO). I have graded the record as Ex-- and believe that this is very fair.
