Description
THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR THE SIXTH STUDIO LP BY THE BRITISH PROGRESSIVE GROUP KING CRIMSON RELEASED BY ISLAND IN THE UK IN 1974 CAT NO ILPS 9275. THIS IS AN EARLY PRESS WITH A3U AND B3U MATRIX NUMBERS AND "SARC" WRITTEN IN THE RUN-OUT GROOVE ON SIDE 1. IT ALSO AMAZINGLY COMES WITH ITS ORIGINAL LYRIC INNER SLLEVE.
THE ORIGINAL ROBOR LTD TEXTURED GATEFOLD SLEEVE IS IN EXCELLENT+ CONDITION WITH SOME LIGHT STORAGE WEAR TO THE SPINE. THIS IS A VERY DIFFICULT COVER TO KEEP IN GOOD CONDITION AND THIS IS DEFINATELY ONE OF THE BETTER EXAMPLES.
THE VINYL IS IN SIMPLY STUNNING CONDITION. EVEN UNDER A STRONG LIGHT I FIND IT HARD TO EVEN SEE SLEEVE WITHDRAWAL MARKS. I WOULD GRADE IT VISUALLY A NEAR MINT. THE CONDITION OF THE VINYL IS REFLECTED IN THE AUDIO WHICH IS SUPERB. I HAVE LISTENED TO THE WHOLE LP AT GREAT VOLUME AND CANNOT REALLY FAULT IT. THERE IS SOME VERY LIGHT STATIC BACKGROUND NOISE BUT OVERALL I WOULD GRADE AS NEAR MINT.
THE LABELS ARE IN EXCELLENT+ CONDITION.
THE EXTREMELY RARE LYRIC INNER IS FREE FROM TEARS AND IN OVERALL VERY GOOD CONDITION.
OVERALL A SUPERB COPY OF THIS RARE LP.

Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
