Excellent recording of King Diamond's first ever solo show, at the Saga, Copenhagen, on 20 December 1985. This was following his decision to split Mercyful Fate earlier in the year after differences with Hank Shermann over his musical direction, born-again Christian belielfs, and Hawaiian shirt-wearing behaviour at concerts. He initially managed to bring most of the rest of the band with him (drummer Kim Ruzz stayed out, preferring a career as a postman rather than joining the King or Hank's new band "Fate" [to his credit not naming HIS new band "Hank Shermann"]). This show has some recent MF favourites but largely focusses on his first (and best) solo effort, "Fatal Portrait". The sound quality is a bit indifferent - hissy and a little boomy, and indistinct, but very listenable and of course significant for aficionados!
