Description
Classic and very rare performances from the King Oliver's Creole Jazz Band legendary first session in Richmond Indiana on 5 April 1923. Visually, the record is around VG- with plenty of even wear and dulling, scrapes and scratches. Side B is rather more worn looking and duller. The labels are very faded, more on Side A but still readable. There is a needle drop side B NAP. Aurally the disc plays well with pronounced crackle and background noise, but music is very audible well over the noise and there does not seem to be any distortion. EQ or similar would loose a lot of the background noise. An exceptionally rare and valuable record in any condition which does not appear often on e-bay and is well worth collecting.
