Description
KING OLIVER'S JAZZ BAND - PARAMOUNT 12088 - The Southern Stomps - This is the RARE red-wax 78 of KING OLIVER'S classic band featuring LOUIS ARMSTRONG and recorded in Chicago in Sept. (most likely) 1923. The flip side is YOUNGS CREOLE JAZZ BAND performing "Dearborn Street Blues". The KING OLIVER side is graded VG+. There is surface noise but the music still comes thru clearly. The YOUNGS CREOLE JAZZ BAND side is graded VG- or G. It has seen a lot more wear and play than the other side. At times the surface noise overwhelms the music, especially towards the end of the song. This record is rarely seen at auction so don't miss out. My grading is conservative so bid with confidence. All records are professionally packed for shipping. The following shipping rates are for 1 or 2 78's (I'll quote a rate if you win more than 2 items). U.S. Media mail is $4 and Priority shipping is $8. Shipping to Canada is also $8. Air Mail to Europe is $13 and Japan is $15. Please email me for shipping rates anywhere else in the world. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Win multiple auctions and SAVE on shipping.
