Description
HERE'S a rare original stereo copy of the much sought after and highly regarded classic, 'Arthur, Or The Decline and Fall of the British Empire', by The Kinks on UK Pye from 1969. Brilliant disc - shame about the sleeve. Like 'Village Green Preservation Society', this brilliant Kinks' album inexplicably failed to chart and is now very hard to track down - especially in stereo. The disc looks amazing - barely played! The lovely unblemished sky blue and black Pye labels are in EX condition. There is not a spindle mark to be seen on the one side and only a couple of faint spindle marks on the other. This copy of Arthur has hardly seen a turntable. Both sides of the disc look a comfortable EX with hardly any marks to be seen when examined under strong halogen lighting - incredibly rare to turn up like this. The stereo-stickered laminated sleeve is only in Fair torn/repaired condition (see photos), as is often the case with these flimsy gatefolds. There is no insert. Please also check out my other items.
