UK ORIGINAL STEREO 'EXPORT COPY' LP

A great looking and sounding, rare UK 'pressed for export' copy of this classic '66 Kinks LP in it's original stickered* sleeve. This is a real beauty!
The disc is in superb, clean condition with only the most superficial of surface marks and gives excellent distortion free reproduction. There is a little occasional near inaudible surface noise on loud playback but absolutely no loud clicks of any kind. Both sides play EX+ with virtually no wear or signs of use and the sound is loud and clear with all frequencies present and correct.
The original 'flipback' sleeve shows more signs of wear but has no major creasing or tearing and is in excellent shape generally. Only some scuffing and wear to the front opening, including some small losses of laminate (a few millimetres near the bottom being the worse) and some light browning to both back and front prevent me from grading it as excellent. The front cover does not have the 'Stereo' sticker present on some, but not all, of these export copies and although the back cover 'STEREO NSPL' sticker has long since disappeared, there is a clear, neat rectangular light stain preceding the catalogue number denoting it's original place on the sleeve.
The front cover also sports a '29p' Woolworths sticker stuck over a similar but unreadable sticker from the same shop. This scarce LP must have hung around at least five years in that particular branch to reach decimalisation in 1971. And what a bargain! A new LP would generally have cost around six or seven times that amount in the early seventies. The sticker would be easily removable should the buyer wish.
The labels are also in excellent condition; clean and bright with minimal spindle marks, the only really noticeable wear is at the very centre, and there are no stains of any kind. The disc comes in it's original Pye 'greaseproof' inner sleeve, in EX- condition.
All in all, this is a near perfect copy of this splendid LP in it's original sleeve.
