Description
You are bidding on an original and uber rare 3 3/4 IPS Australian reel to reel version of The Kink Kontroversy. Open reels were produced in low numbers because of the expense of the format and they only appealed well heeled audiophiles interested in the format in the '60s. This version of the album was exclusively available in Australia, Aussie records and tapes were produced in lower numbers than other territories beacuse of the smaller market and there were probably only a few hundred of these made. If you have the equipment to play it - the sound quality is stunning - high end CD quality! In my opinion the sound quality is a good if not better than the recent remasters. This will play on a standard 4 track player, but you will need to realign the heads (a two min job) or else you'll get one track playing forward and the other backwards. I will only accept Paypal (no exceptions).
