THE KINKS :- Original 1964 UK Pye NSPL 83021 Stereo LP

A very difficult to find Stereo pressing of this classic Kinks LP.............. copies pressed at the time were mainly Mono , Stereo copies were available by ordering from the retailer.....................Most Stereo copies were eventually used for Export purposes...................making them now very hard to find.

The Stereo LP's were issued in Mono sleeves , with a 'NSPL 83021 Stereophonic' sticker placed over the existing Mono number (see photo) This copy also has a large Stereo sticker attached to the sleeve front.

Condition of Vinyl:- Both sides of the disc have some surface wear , and some marks (nothing heavy) There is some surface noise here and there , but mainly on the between track bands . The actual tracks play really well. Carefully Graded at Visually and Aurally VERY GOOD+ condition.

Label Condition:- The labels are very clear , just some spindle use evident : EXCELLENT condition.

Condition of Sleeve:-

Front: The laminated sleeve front has a little light wear, and light crease traces.

Rear: The rear of the sleeve , has light wear only, very clean .

Carefully Graded at a fraction below EXCELLENT condition.

A nice copy of a scarce LP , complete with correct Pye Liner Sleeve

Notes: The Kinks: Ray Davies, Dave Davies (vocals, guitar); Pete Dalton (bass); Mick Avory (drums).Additional personnel includes: Jimmy Page (12-string guitar); Perry Ford (piano); Jon Lord (Hammond B-3 organ); Bobby Graham (drums).Recorded at Pye Studios, London, England in 1964. This album was initially intended as a way to cash in on the primal magic of "You Really Got Me" before the Kinks got too stale for the fickle youth. However, history would show that this tidy R&B combo had one of the most inventive and creative bandleaders in '60s and '70s rock & roll in Mr. Ray Davies. There are hints that Davies would become one of the most unusual and melodic songwriters of a generation. One listen to "Just Can't Go To Sleep" and it's clear the die was cast: Davies had a voice all his own. Dedicated fans will certainly enjoy THE KINKS, but this fine album would also be of interest to connoisseurs of young, white R&B on the order of the early Who and Rolling Stones.

All items carefully graded audio-visually, and are played on a high quality system.

Please feel able to bid with confidence , as a collector myself I realize the requirements in the gradings of sleeves and discs , and how important it is to recieve items in the condition as advertised in listings ........I notice that the usual practice by many sellers on eBay is using the buzzwords 'Stunning' , 'Superb' , 'Awesome' 'etc etc etc...... and have grossly long-winded descriptions .............these 'experts' also add technical information , which is totally unfounded and incorrect to actual facts , and would be laughable , but for the fact that it is misleading , and tends to hide the fact that the items on offer are only Average/Very Good , substandard items........and a 1000 word essay with vague photographs does not make what is an easily found VG condition item into a difficult to find Mint condition item.................. I take time and care to grade items correctly and only list quality records........

I have been a lifelong music fan , my first concert visit was in 1957 (Birmingham Town Hall Skiffle Contest!) and have bought records of all the great music since 1959 , and had the privelege of seeing most of the great artists live too (I saw The Beatles twice........and Segovia!)
