Description
HERE'S a rare stereo copy of the much sought after and highly regarded classic, 'The Kinks are The Village Green Preservation Society' by The Kinks on original UK Pye from 1968. This brilliant Kinks' album inexplicably failed to chart in '68 and is now very hard to track down, especially in the rarer stereo format. The sky blue and black Pye labels are in EX condition with no writing, rips or sticker damage, and only the lightest signs of use. There is no spindle wear whatsoever, indicating barely any play. Both sides of the disc look a comfortable VG in normal light with just light surface and sleeve removal/scuff marks to be seen when examined under strong halogen lighting - there are no nasty deep feelable scratches. This lovely disc is housed in a mono sleeve (although what I think has happened is that the stereo sticker which would have originally covered the word 'MONO' has disappeared over time). This laminated gatefold sleeve is in Good condition. There is no sticker damage, no sticker residue and no unwanted writing but there is some damage to the spine, as is typical with this flimsy gatefold, mainly at the top and bottom, as you can see in my photos, plus some creasing and a little tape residue. But overall this is a pretty presentable copy of an album to treasure. Please also check out my other Kinks' Kollectables.
Good luck if you are bidding - if you win be assured I pack carefully, with disc removed from sleeve, to ensure this item reaches you as it leaves me.
