Nice original UK 1st press copy of this Kinks debut album with impressive MONO sound quality
Year/Label : 1964 UK PYE Label number : NPL 18096 Matrix numbers : NN 1096 - A2T, NN 1096 - B2T Stampers : A 1 / AS 1Very good plus (VG+) condition vinyl - completely flat, nicely weighty and retaining an impressive jet black lacquered sheen in normal daylight. Closer inspection under a bright light reveals a few wispy hairlines on each side along with some paper scuffs. Each of these blemishes is minor, non-feelable, and appear to be superficial though there is some sporadic but very, very light background crackle which barely impacts upon what remains a great listen throughout. The labels are also in very good plus (VG+) condition with some faint (but noticeable in a good light) spindle trails indicating that this record has had a fair number of plays. A very good plus (VG+) condition front-side laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback outer sleeve with firm unscuffed edges (just a couple of small nicks on the spine), near perfectly defined right angled corners with minimal rubbing, and a firm spine with all spine text remaining nicely intact. There are x4 1cm laminate creases on the front-side adjacent and perpendiclar to the edges, some very minor horizontal wear towards the front-side bottom edge, a couple of small and very light handling/storage marks on the reverse side, and some very, very light discolouration due to age next to the flipbacks. The flipbacks themselves are in great condition, the opening edges are firm with no fraying, and the colours, text, photos and art work remain impressively intact and with excellent definition still. Still perfectly functional and still highly presentable! Again very good plus (VG+) MONO sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats or distortion. There are just a few (I counted 4) very light random light clicks and there is some very, very mild and sporadic background crackle, heard mostly (but not exclusively) during the intermissions and the run-off's. Certainly nothing here to prevent every track remaining a great listen, however. Comes with plain white "MADE IN ENGLAND" and "British & Other Patents Pending" inner sleeve with no splits and just a little mild creasing in two of the corners (probably not the original inner sleeve to go with this record). Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. A nice condition copy of this UK very 1st press Kinks debut album still making for a great listen despite it's 62 year antiquity!

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
