Description

Howdy folks, I'm back...been busy moving from the West Coast back to the beautiful Midwest. I'm completely settled in (finally) and I have hundreds of records that are going to be auctioned off in the next few months. I'm expecting another member of my family to arrive in February so I'm going to hit it hard over the winter. I will most likely be auctioning items in multiple record lots. There will be some complete catalogs and some that are pretty darned close. All good stuff, no fluff. I have an extensive classic rock catalog (AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Dylan,The Doors, The Who, Kiss) along with a ton of metal (Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, Testament, etc.), a sh*tload of quality 80's metal (GnR, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Ozzy, Judas Priest, Scorpions, etc.), and a lot of punk, post-punk, new wave and alternative stuff (The Clash, The Ramones, Japan, The Jam, The Replacements, and other obscure and underground artists).

As much as I am in favor of brick and mortar record stores, you have to admit that a lot of them are picked clean and the turnover isn't like it used to be. Nobody's bringing anything in anymore, and if they do, it's gone before you can get there. This is where you have to go to find them. Records are getting harder to find by the minute and the value isn't going down anytime soon. Due to the collectible nature and the superior audio quality, it's worth every penny. I do as much (if not more) buying than I do selling. My records are like my babies. But don't tell my real babies I said that :-)

PLEASE SAVE ME AS A FAVORITE SELLER and check out MY OTHER CURRENT AUCTIONS! Everything is cleaned and then visually graded. I do my best. I don't like misrepresenting items. I've been here since 1998 and had the pleasure of one jackass giving me a negative feedback. One and ONLY one. Thanks drexlermcstyles22. This buyer has ruined several other honest sellers feedback and other than this unhappy person, things have been hunky dory here. Oh, and speaking of hunky and dory, did I tell you about how many Bowie records I have? Holy crap. I've been hoarding. I have several copies of many of these records, sometimes up to 15-20, hence the lots. Time to lighten the load. International bidders are more than welcome, this will be a good chance for you to get some really great stuff and save on shipping. But, please remember you are responsible for the shipping charges. Records are heavy. Stick around, let's hang out and meet each other. This is fun for me. It can be for you too if you take the time to read my descriptions and follow the rules. I love giving discounts to returning customers! Combined shipping is AWESOME!

Here it is folks, one of the HOLY GRAILS of Kiss memorabilia. Up for auction is a copy of the VERY FIRST pressing of the self-titled KISS debut record released in February of 1974. This original pressing does NOT include Kissin' Time. This was re-released a couple months later (July 1974) with Kissin' Time added as the 1st song on Side 2 because the album wasn't selling well and Neil Bogart was hoping to add a hit single to get sales going. There weren't many of these pressed! See photos and below description for more details.

SHIPPING IS FREE TO THE US! SHIPPING IS NOT FREE TO INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS!

ITEM DESCRIPTION:

ARTIST: KISS

CATALOG NUMBER: NB 9001

YEAR: 1974

VINYL GRADE: 8 EX (Nice copy with very little playwear. It sounds KILLER on my turntable right now.)

JACKET GRADE: 7.5 VG++ (Without the cut-corner in the lower right, I would grade this a 9/nrMINT. Yes, it's that nice. There is NO ringwear(!) which is hard to come by in any version of this release. This is one of the cleanest jackets you will come across.)

INNER SLEEVE: Includes plain white inner sleeve.

ADDITIONAL INFO: Blue Bogart labels with the "BELL SOUND" inscription on the dead wax. This is the real deal, get it while you can!

Please read the entire auction description before bidding!
*I do not accept returns unless there are extenuating circumstances beyond my control.

***MOST OF MY VINYL IS USED, SO AGAIN - PLEASE PAY ATTENTION THE THE GRADING DETAILS!***

***NO SHIPPING TO ITALY***NO WAY***NEVER AGAIN***

Overall, anything with a grade of 7/VG+ will show some surface wear and/or needle marks but nothing deep. Anything with that grade will still play fine in my book. Obviously if it's an 8/EX or 9/NrMINT it will be in fantastic condition. Please note the subjective nature of grading; your VG+ might be my VG or my VG+ might be someone else's EX - you just have to pay attention, read my grading scale, and most importantly - ASK QUESTIONS.

HERE'S HOW I GRADE:

10 – MINT (Sealed, perfect condition.)

9 – Nr MINT (Like new with only a hint of wear.)

8 – EX (Very few blemishes. Maybe a couple light scratches on the vinyl or a few light creases to the jacket. Serious collectors will be satisfied with this grade.)

7 – VG+ (Average, used condition. Most of my vinyl and jackets are in this condition. Vinyl will show playwear/scratches, but nothing deep and it will play through fine. You may encounter a "pop" or two or some light background noise. The jacket may have creasing, edgewear, ringwear, or corner dings but nothing significant.)

6 – VG (Vinyl/jacket may will show a fair to moderate amount of wear .Vinyl may show a number of scratches and you will likely experience some background noise during playback, but NO skips. The jacket may show a fair amount of wear in the form of creasing, edgewear, ringwear, writing, seam splits, etc.)

5 – VG- (Rarely will I sell anything of this grade unless it is a collector item with some value. Moderate to heavy wear on the vinyl and/or jacket.)

I WILL DETAIL ANY IMPERFECTIONS TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY IN MY ITEM DESCRIPTION.

SHIPPING:

I will ship up to 12 records for $4.00, any additional records are .50 each. Yes - TWELVE RECORDS FOR FOUR BUCKS. I accept Paypal only. I will ship to International locations but bidders will pay anywhere from $17-20 for 1 album and $2.00 for each additional LP. I recommend REGISTERED MAIL for ALL International bidders. Most of my records are shipped in a BRAND NEW 13x13x2 sturdy cardboard box and the contents are secured in bubble wrap or double boxed in one of those cheap record mailing boxes (I hate when people use those - I use them for a double layer of backup protection). You’ll be happy be with the packaging - I guarantee it. I will also add insurance at my expense on anything over $50.

*IF YOU WIN MULTIPLE AUCTIONS, I WILL SOMETIMES THROW IN FREE SHIPPING! THE MORE YOU BUY, THE MORE YOU WILL SAVE ON POSTAGE COSTS!*

*IF I ATTEMPT TO RIP YOU OFF ON SHIPPING CHARGES LIKE OTHERS ON EBAY ($2.00 for each additional LP? Bite me!) OR SEND YOU A RECORD SANDWICHED BETWEEN 2 USED PIECES OF FLIMSY CARDBOARD, I GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO PUNCH ME IN THE FACE.*
