KISS
“ALIVE!”
(Complete Set of 4 Records)
THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL OF “ALIVE” VERSIONS WORLDWIDE
EXTREMELY RARE
BY THE VERY FIRST TIME AVAILABLE IN eBay!!!
The first to tell about this pack is all the KISS albums released in Chile by Quatro Ltda. Records are extremely rare and hard to find, because not many copies were pressed in Chile because Quatro Ltda. Records also imported the album from Brazil. Some Kiss albums released in Chile by Quatro Ltda. Records were pressed in Chile but the covers made in Brazil and they also imported the covers from Brazil for some second pressings when they were overpassed for the demand. So, Chilean pressings with Chilean covers are a bit hard to find.
In the case of “ALIVE!” the level of rarity is even higher because here in Chile Quatro Ltda. Records released the double albums like separate single LPs!!! Yes, single LPs!!! The first of them was released in 1976 with the name “Alive!” (also called “Part One”) and it’s the second record of the original “Alive!” (beware of the sellers who inform it’s the first record, it means they don’t know the album or they have not heard the record). In 1977 the second part, “Alive! Part Two”, was released in Chile with an UNIQUE picture sleeve showing the faces of Kiss members on stage. It’s the LP 1 of the original “Alive!”. This record, “Alive!”, on Quatro Ltda. Records is considered the rarest pressing of “Alive!” worldwide!!! And “Part Two” is one of the hardest to find LPs of Kiss!!! In January of 1978 “Alive III” and “Alive IV” were released in Chile, they are the Disc 1 and 2 of original “Alive II”, released in 1977.
So, by the very first time in eBay, here it’s the Holy Grail of “Alive!” pressings worldwide!!! We have got the the 4 records for you in single covers!!! YES!!! Not a dream Sirs, it’s real, this is the complete “Alive!” set released on Quatro Ltda. Records in Chile!!! WOW!!! This is maybe the only chance to get this complete set, the rarest press of “Alive!” worldwide!!! And in superb condition!!!
Ladies and gentlemen, what you will get with this auction is the album “Alive!” pressed in Chile and released on Quatro Ltda. Records like separate albums:
“ALIVE!” (called “Part One”) - 1976 – Single cover
This LP corresponds to the second LP of original double album “Alive!” and has black Casablanca labels with silver lettering, catalog number LP-CAS-8002, The cover is made in Chile by “Hercal S.A.” for Quatro Ltda. Records. Front cover is laminated and has the original artwork but back cover is black and white coloured, isn’t laminated and keeps the original artwork too but it has the Quatro logo with “Serie Super Lujo” ( Super Deluxe Serie) written in the upper left corner. The condition of cover is VG, tape on 4 edges and a rip in back cover. One of the past owners had the idea to keep the left edge as mouth for the record, not the right edge (?), but it doesn’t affect the excellent look of the cover.
The vinyl is thick and it’s in superb EX- or EX condition in both sides, glossy and clean and light hairlines and some very faint scratches wihich don’t affect sound. In Side A you can see a little spot in the track 2 which causes a soft click but the sound is amazing from the beginning to the end, it’s in EX+ condition but if we don’t consider the little click the record sounds in strong NM+ condition, loud, clean and clear with no background noises at all!!! Impossible to find in better conditions!!! Labels in both sides are in NM+ condition too.
“ALIVE! PART TWO” – 1977 – Single cover
This LP corresponds to the first LP of original double album “Alive!” and has coloured Casablanca labels, catalog number LP-CAS-8009. Cover has an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE with a completely different artwork, a set of 4 pictures of members of Kiss on stage. In back cover in the upper right corner is the Quatro logo with “Serie Super Lujo” (Super Deluxe Serie) written under the logo. It’s interesting to see that date of pressing is written in the deadwax, 28-3-77, March 28 of 1977!!!
As you must know, this is the HOLY GRAIL of the “Alive” versions worldwide, the rarest pressing. The cover is very thin, only a piece of thin cardboard folded in 1 side, so 3 sides are open (and so the original owner taped the sides). The cover is in VG or VG+ condition, clean, glossy, with no ring marks or names written, only a little missing part in the upper edge in the back cover. Record is in VG condition, with many hairlines and some scratches, which don’t affect the sound at all. Labels are in NM- condition (a past owner marked some numbers of the songs). But the BEST PART OF THIS SET is the sound of this record is in amazing and superb NM condition!!! You need to hear this record to believe it, the best possible audio quality!!!
“ALIVE III” – 1978 – Single cover
This LP corresponds to the first disc of original double album “Alive II”, originally released in 1977, and it has coloured Casablanca labels, catalog number LP-CAS-8015. Front cover is laminated and back cover non-laminated. In back cover it’s a set of the same 4 small pictures of the front cover but in black and white colour and it covers almost all the back cover, with title in the upper left corner and Quatro Records logo in the upper right corner with “Serie Super Lujo” (Super Deluxe Serie) under the catalog number. In the deadwax is written the date of pressing of this record, 10-1-78, October 1 of 1978!!!
The cover is in VG or VG+ condition, clean, complete, with no missing parts, rips or marks, only some little heavy wear at the bottom left corner in the spine. Record is so thick like “Alive” (Vol I), nd it’s in VG or VG+ condition, only some hairlines and light scratches which don’t affect sound. Labels are in NM or NM+ condition, absolutely clean. The sound is in VG- or VG condition, loud and clear but with some constant soft crackles and some pops here and there. Anyway, it’s still a very good sound quality, with no jumps or sticks or distorsions.
“ALIVE IV” – 1978 –Single cover
This LP corresponds to the second disc of original double album “Alive II”, it has coloured Casablanca labels and cover keeps the same artwork and design of “Alive III”, catalog number LP-CAS-8016, with date of pressing written in the deadwx and it’s the same date October 1 of 1978!!!
Front cover is in VG or VG+ condition and back cover in VG- or VG condition, mostly because of a red sticker in the upper right corner. Anyway, the cover is clean, no rips, no marks, no writings. Record is thick and it’s in VG or VG+ condition, maybe EX- the Side 2, only light hairlines and some sctraches hard to see which don’t affect sound at all. Labels are in NM+ condition, perfects. The sound is great, loud and clear and it’s in EX or EX+ condition, only minimal crackles here and there but nothing to distract at all from the superb audio of this record.

_________________________________________________________
We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.
NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK
We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
