My introduction to KISS was in the school cafeteria one morning in fifth grade when I saw the cool 6th grade kids passing around a copy of Destroyer, which had just come out. My eight-year-old mind was blown and I hadn't even heard the music yet. I was too afraid to go into a record store (back then record stores were scary, dark head shops filled with dangerous teenagers, lol!), so I gave my aunt $5 to buy me a Kiss record and she came over my house with a brand new sealed copy of KISS Alive!. My life was forever changed. Of course this isn't that same copy which I opened and played everyday and took everywhere I went until it fell apart (and unfortunately I don't have anymore). Anyway, this is identical to the copy my aunt handed me many moons ago. I found this in a used record bin around 20 years ago and had all those memories come flooding back to me which was a glorious moment. I felt like Indiana Jones finding the lost ark. I have kept this record in cool, dry storage since then and haven't really let anybody even touch it. The pictures speak for themselves as to what phenomenal condition this record is in. The shrink wrap is still tight and has no tears whatsoever. There is one tiny hole on Gene's guitar which you can see in the photos and two very tiny holes on the back which you can barely see, pretty common for shrink wrap on new records. The hype sticker is also intact and in excellent condition. There is a small piece of the original price tag in the upper right hand corner which I have left alone. If you traveled back in time and walked into a record store in 1975 to buy a copy of this record, this is what you would come back with. I have had my time with this record and It is time for me to pass it on to another KISS fan so they can have the same magical experience that I had. It is a joy to just hold in your hands. To this day, this is still my favorite KISS record and I consider it the holy grail of KISStory. I can still remember jumping off the couch while playing air guitar to Cold Gin in my parents basement. Thanks and good luck!
