Description
Extremely rare PROMO single 45 for Kiss’ 1976 People Choice award smash “Beth” b/w “Detroit Rock City”. This is much rarer than the standard promo as it features both songs as opposed to only one (mono/stereo). Additionally the catalogue number is NBX-863 whereas the standard promo is NB-863.
The single is very close to mint and would be considered a mint- with slight hairline scratches typical from rubbing against the inner paper sleeve. As common with older 45’s regardless if housed in paper sleeves, the edging has some hairline scratching which does not affect the audio - in fact, the audio is clear and clean with minimal pops/noise, no skips are present. The label looks to be in mint- condition as well and both vinyl and labels are clean. The vinyl is shiny and the grooves appear to be dust free.
The paper sleeve is original and appropriate for the single’s release; pre- filmworks circa 1977. Minimal handling/wear is present on the sleeve and does not contains any seam tears. This is the re-release meaning “Beth” is side A and “Detroit Rock City” side B and believe this promo single was included only thru the Kiss Army fanclub circa late 1976-early 1977.
I’ve included a snippet from Discogs showing the collectability details of the single. Although I would rate this copy closer to the “highest” range - I am listing a little lower to draw interest - even lower than THE ONE COPY that is listed on Discogs mind you! No other listings for this catalogue number are featured on eBay, making this an extremely rare piece indeed! Grab it while you can.
