GRADING
I have been collecting vinyl for 25 years and I have always used the “Goldmine Grading System” to grade my records.
I assume that the contents of sealed records are mint since they are factory fresh, never having been tampered with. However, even though a long play or box set is sealed, the exterior of the package still needs to be graded. Thus, I look for any defects on the exterior of still sealed items such as seam splits, creases that are visible through the shrinkwrap, and damaged corners. Any defects to the exterior packaging of still sealed records will be noted in my ads.
