IF YOU ARE A STICKLER, THIS COPY IS NOT FOR YOU. THERE ARE DEFINITE SURFACE MARKS THAT CAUSE DEFINITE SURFACE NOISE and POPS & CLICKS, and there is HEAVY COVER WEAR!
Up for sale is one(1) KISS - Double Platinum Double LP from 1978 with the gatefold cover on Casablanca Records (#NBLP 7100). There is No Barcode. Has STERLING stamped in the deadwax on all 4 sides.
***INCLUDES black & white PHOTOCOPIES of BOTH INSERTS - the Platinum Record Award (1 sided) and the KISS ARMY mailer (2 sided). And a black & white PHOTOCOPY of the HYPE STICKER***The vinyl is in Good condition, but has surface marks that WILL cause surface noise and pops & clicks along the way. The surface marks do not cause any skips. Even with a Good grading there is going to be a certain amount of surface noise. More noticeable during the quiet parts.
PLAY TESTED! I recently played this LP and it still sounds GREAT especially cranked UP! It plays all the through without any skips. Nice fairly clean labels with some spindle marks.
The gatefold cover is in Good condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings, scrapes, fade spots, crumples & creases, and ring wear.
***There is a small to medium sized split seam / tear with a piece of the cover and spine missing described as follows: a small to medium sized "Shark Bite" taken out of the rear cover stretching to the spine and noticeable as a tear on the interior of the gatefold.***
NO OTHER SPLIT SEAMS. This cover typically doesn't age well but this one is in decent shape.(except for the shark bite)
Comes in plain white inner sleeves.
I obtained this LP in the late 1970's. It was played many times back in the day. I haven't played this LP in over 30 years. It has been in storage ever since.I am thinning out my vinyl collection. Many of my listings sell with "BEST OFFERS"! Or "BUY IT NOW" if you think this is a good price!
