TITLE:   "Rock And Roll Over" vinyl LP.

DESCRIPTION:   This is the fifth album from New York's glammest band released in November 1976,  peaking at No. 11 in the Billboard charts, and is the CANADIAN issue.  It is still SEALED and UNOPENED.  With the massive success of their previous album, the experimental Bob Ezrin-produced Destroyer (which contained the surprise ballad hit "Beth"), Kiss could have taken the safe route and continued in that direction -- or return to the raw hard rock of their first four albums. They chose the latter. Hooking back up with Eddie Kramer, the producer of their 1975 breakthrough release Alive! and their very first demo, Kiss rented out the Nanuet Star Theater in upstate New York to record their next album, Rock and Roll Over. With a more direct, in-your-face production, Rock and Roll Over is one of Kiss' most consistent records. Two of the album's best tracks became hit singles -- the sleazy hard rocker "Calling Dr. Love" and an acoustic ballad that was originally intended for Rod Stewart, "Hard Luck Woman" (later covered by country star Garth Brooks). But like all other classic rock albums, the lesser-known material is often just as strong -- "I Want You" and "Makin' Love" became concert staples over the years, while "Mr. Speed" is one of the most underrated songs in Kiss' catalogue. Also included are the fan favorites "Take Me," "Ladies Room," "Love 'Em and Leave 'Em," and the original version of "See You in Your Dreams," which was later re-recorded for Gene Simmons' 1978 solo album.

GRADINGS EXPLAINED:  I use the Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide for gradings as follows:-

MINT:  The record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.  The cover and any extra items eg lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT:  The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality.  The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:  The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.  Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items , without any major defects, is acceptable.

N.B.  The addition of PLUS or MINUS indicates a grading between those shown above.

POSTAGE/PACKING ETC:  UK first class Recorded Delivery is used in all cases.  I appreciate that this does cost a little extra, insuring up to £39, but protects both parties in the event of loss, or damage, in transit.  For Europe and the rest of the world mailing is via Standard Air Mail (Small Packets) unless International Signed For is specifically requested.  If you require extra insurance for higher priced items I am happy to arrange this at cost to the buyer.  Packing is in purpose made mailers with stiffening as appropriate.  Otherwise, I do try to keep P&P at cost and do not profit from this.  Proof of posting is always obtained.
