KISS S/T ORIG NO KISSIN' TIME STOCK LP NB9001 IN SHRINK
From January 1974 comes this original stock pressing of KISS' self-titled debut LP (Casablanca NB 9001) - still in its original shrinkwrap (complete with Nashville department store Cain-Sloan price tag) and with Warner Bros. distribution information at the bottom of the back cover and its labels as well. Not long after this initial release, Casablanca broke away from its distro deal with Warners and re-issued this LP with a cover of Bobby Rydell's "Kissin' Time" added to the top of Side Two to tie in with a kissing contest set up to help promote the group. Do not underestimate the rarity of this piece. Promo pressings surface here and there, but very few consumers picked up the album this early in the game (sales didn't really take off until after the dual success of "Rock and Roll All Nite" and Alive!) and stock copies - especially those with their original shrink with price tags - are rare as hen's teeth. Don't sleep on this one - we expect it to go quickly! Thanks for looking . . . and good luck!
The cover - still being in its original shrink - is near mint with just a faint trace of wear along its mouth and two right-hand corners. The LP itself is near mint as well.
To protect your investment, this LP - as with all vinyl purchased at The Great Escape Online - will be placed in a new plastic outer sleeve prior to packing and shipping.
