Who/What: KISS Tears Are Falling from 1985 Mercury 12 Inch Marked Promo Single NEAR MINT.
The 12 inch record was placed in a generic cardboard sleeve (has tiny nick on side) with KISS sticker attached, stamped in gold on the back as a promo and shipped to store like that. The KISS record is marked promo on the label. Both sides feature the same song.
Record is being sold as a collectible not as a fidelity recording. While the record still retains a shiny luster, it may not play perfectly on your player--this is just a reality that exists. During my tenure as record store manager, many people swore up and down the record skipped on their player at home but when played in store, the record often did not skip. I let them pick out that same record again. Record has likely never been played or played once--it's been quite a long time since I received and stored this one. This 33 RPM is one of a kind so picking out another one for you is not an option.. If you are fanatical about this, please consider this viewpoint. Box 081018
Condition: This is always tricky but I believe this record is near mint or better. The condition of the label is another indicator while not perfect that can tell us a lot about how the record was treated or in some instances, how many times is was played. Vinyl has shiny lustrous surface. Please look at photos carefully--they may help you make a decision. A magnifier tool should appear when you run your mouse pointer over the surface of the enlarged image and it will magnify that portion of the record. Packaging: Great care is always taken when packaging any of my items. The record will be shipped in bubble wrap and sandwiched between cardboard inserts.
