Description

KISS The Originals 1974-1979 box set from Japan.  You get "KISS" thru "Dynasty" + both double-lp "Alive" albums.  Vinyl is colored and is sealed inside every cardboard sleeve.  Comes with a 36-page, 12" booklet on thick paper containing album lyrics in Japanese & English with cool concert shots, pullout poster + sheet of stickers using artwork from the '75-'80 singles release.  There's also a non-perforated repro of The Originals (1976) card sheet.  This item was part of the 1st edition in Japan, release of 2500 in 1998 by Mercury Records (a 2nd edition came out later, issued in red versus black).  Regarding the sealed LP colors, "KISS" is a dark purple/blue, Hotter than Hell is yellow, Dressed to Kill is red, Alive! is pinkish purple-2 lp, Destroyer is dark green, Rock and Roll Over is a light medium blue, Love Gun is purple, Alive II is light green-2 lp and Dynasty is white.  Here are some notes on condition...the bag flap has lost most of its stick over 27 years so it only barely stays sealed but this has only been opened to take listing photos.  Obi was issued on the bag in Japan and it's a bit storage-worn with some creases, folds etc.  The outer bag is worn with some wrinkles and a few tiny holes, etc., mostly due to the box weight of 11 pounds (bag wears out a bit every time box is moved on the shelf).  I see a couple of specific little dings on the outer box and corner plus a light scrape on the front if you view at the right angle.  Very cool and still has its Made in Japan sticker.  As a bonus, I've included an empty Originals cardboard lp folder from '76 and loaded it with vintage inserts, vintage original button and a couple of old patches.  Check out the photos to see what you think and feel free to ask questions.  Your item will be carefully and meticulously packed, then shipped with tracking via USPS.  USA buyers only please and no returns.  Thank you for your interest and feel free to check out my other KISS album lots with much more on the way from the original makeup years!
