Description

KISS You Wanted The Best You Got The Best 1996 US Double Vinyl 2 Original Owner. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
I am the original owner of this item.  The original shrink wrap was just slit to allow the albums to be removed.  The Hype sticker is original and in-tact.  The plain paper sleeves are original to the release. Spine is in excellent condition.  The cover's original gloss is surely protected under the original shrink wrap.  Excellent condition for a 25 year old double LP.  This album has been played less than two full times.
1996 was an exciting time for KISS fans.  For years by now we would think it would never happen... that it wouldn't happen... but after the successful Mtv Unplugged episode fans were buzzing... could we actually see the "original" KISS members together... on stage... in makeup and costume... live? Yes, KISS Army... Yes you can!  This album's release was timed perfectly to really set the stage for the 1996 Reunion tour.
You Wanted The Best You Got The Best was a not-so subtle reminder (and teaser) of what KISS Live was (and would continue to be)!
This album begins as all KISS Alive! albums do when the album's title is heard over the loudspeakers to a frenzied crowd.
The first three tracks are previously unreleased and slightly deeper cuts from the 1974 debut KISS album and 1975's Dressed to Kill. It is so great to hear the four original members of KISS playing live some of their earliest songs in their career!
The album continues with remastered versions of songs from both 1975's Alive! and 1977's Alive! II at this album's base - all of which are remembered and cherished by the KISS Army.
The album's last musical track marks the debut live appearance of New York Groove from Ace Frehley's 1978 KISS solo album on a KISS Alive! album!
The last track is an interview with Jay Leno (he was kind of a big deal at the time)... hyping the reunion tour and cracking corny jokes.
This is truly an item that a KISS vinyl collector would appreciate and value.
