KISS S/T
ORIGINAL LP
First off I want to apologize in advance for the long winded description below, I just wanted to make sure it was explained correctly.
Hello everyone! This auction is a great way to pick up a 100% original authentic U.S. 1st Pressing LP record album of the self titled debut record of KISS on (Casablanca Records NB 9001). You don't see these original pressings all of the time and they are becoming quite rare to find nowadays. And a lot of people selling these here on eBay sadly have their information wrong on these most of the time. This is the only original pressing that did NOT have the song "Kissin Time" included on it. It came out in Feb 1974 and by April was changed to include the song on those. This one does not have a bar-code and has the pasted on slick cover which was only carried over to the 2nd press I believe. This LP mentions (Warner Bros. Records) on the cover and labels of the record that was dropped off of the later pressings as well.
OK about the record itself, the cover is one of the best examples I've seen over the years. But as you can see sadly it has some ring wear on the bottom half on both sides. But the pictures do NOT do it justice since they don't look so great and even emphasize some of the flaws. The cover actually for this type of sleeve is very clean surface wise, bright and shiny unlike how it looks in the picture. It pretty much looks glossy like on that Mike Douglas Show when he held up that copy. The edges are very clean with only very light surface rubbing on the edges mostly with no seam splits or bends. So almost all of the wear along the edges shown of the cover pictures look a lot worse in the picture because of the camera flash/glare on it. Other than a few white spots here and there that appear more noticeable in the picture than they actually are. The white paper LP innersleeve has some rumpling and a couple small tears but no seam splits. I included a picture of one of the labels so you could see it in the sleeve. (NOTE: The LP itself will be shipped in a plastic innersleeve within a different cover to avoid wear during transport!).
The actual vinyl has a little more wear than the cover since it was played a few times back in the day. Almost all of the wear came from being moved around over the years within it's paper innersleeve. So there is some light surface scuffing marks here and there, but for the most part it is still very glossy with a lot of it's original luster. I'd say it's in the nice higher end VG condition grade because of the accumulative number of smaller flaws. Still very nice and totally worth picking up if your a fan. I tried to be pretty descriptive about it's grade since the pictures don't do the talking this time out. If there are any other questions you have feel free to email anytime and Thanks for Looking. The record cover comes in a new protective plastic sleeve and will be packed very safe separated from the vinyl in an actual box. The winner pays $4.00 for shipping anywhere in the USA only.
