Mega Rare original Australian vinyl LP issue of the 1981 Kiss album (Music From) "The Elder".  This album was a complete change of direction for Kiss, and the first album to not feature any images of the group on the album artwork and the first time that the band did not tour to promote a new album in many years.  A concept album which included symphonic orchestra and some spoken word.  Some critics savaged the album (perhaps unfairly), seemingly because it was a departure from the Kiss image rather than anything major actually being wrong with the album – possibly feeding into the critics hands as the few years prior to the 1981 release had seen the band’s album sales in the U.S. substantially decrease, but Kiss grew from strength to strength in the foreign markets, particularly in Australia & New Zealand where the band had just completed a hugely successful tour.  The track listing for the Australian release differed in order to US/Brazil/Europe and the Japanese album omitted the track ‘Escape From The Island’ in its initial release which is included on the Australian release. The Australian issue features custom labels and an album jacket sized one-sided carded colour poster of the group - See pics.  LP is housed in original gatefold picture jacket in excellent condition showing the lightest of wear.  Vinyl LP is in excellent condition – couple of very light scuffs – Hard to Find!!
