This is an original 1976 first pressing made in Canada by Daffodil Records and mastered by Just A Mastering Facility (JAMF) in Toronto. This first pressing is considered the best sounding version of Canadian and US pressings. All foreign pressings (USA included) were made from a dub of the master tape. This legendary recording also referred as "3:47 EST" is the absolute first Canadian issue having no title on the front cover. Only the band's name, the catalogue number and "litho In Canada are printed on the spine and "All" releases with the name "Klaatu" on the front cover are later releases including those on the Daffodil label. The band's name has been "hidden" within the artwork on the back cover. A promo/hype sticker was applied to the back cover to help identify the album. Maybe to avoid confusion with The Beatles ;-) as this recording was rumoured to be by the British group. The disc that has custom labels was issued in a heavy cardboard custom inner sleeve. The cover is in near mint condition. The hype sticker was not perfectly applied and has two slight creases. The labels are near mint with no spindle marks. The disc is in excellent plus condition with some very hard to see scuffing from the hard cardboard inner sleeve. This disc has been cleaned on a VPI record cleaning machine and placed in a new plastic inner sleeve. The jacket was placed in a new plastic outer sleeve.
