RARE! In 1969 when this was released it apparently fell through the same crack as KAK, JULY, GANDALF, and a host of other INCREDIBLE grage psych LP's that didn't get their due until nearly 30 years later. A lot of people STILL aren't hip to this, and being a poor stepchild to Capitol in '69 was akin to being stuck on Roulette or some offshoot of Epic - bound to be obscure even in the day.
THE KOALA was, not surprisingly, an AUSTRALIAN group, but their sound is pure American midwestern GARAGE, and as such is spiced up with a healthy dose of West Coast and English psych icing. Mad drums, aggressive bass, jangly rhythm guitar and fuzzed-out all-pervasive lead guitar with a vocal full of Kak-ish angst. A true killer.

The lightweight Uni-Pak cover has slight wear here & there but no writing, no stickers, no seam splits.
The LP is visually very nice & clean, and plays well with only light surface noise here & there and an occasional light pop. I imagine a good deep cleaning would remove the majority of what my turntable hears, since this does not look like it has been played much. Labels are bright and clean, surface still has plenty of shine & life to it.
Rare, well worth having in any rare psych collection.
Overall a solid VG+ to VG++ cover and at least an equal LP
