Description
Up for bidding is a rare Columbia mono record of Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 61 performed by Leonid Kogan with Constantin Silvestri conducting the Orchestre de la Societe des Concerts du Conservatoire. The record is catalouged 33CX 1738 and the label comes in gold/blue. The record plays well and I find it enjoyable as it is (played on LP12/Ekos/Troika). There is not a scratchy record apart from two hairlines one on each side that does not seem to affect play nor produce much noise apart from two audible pop in Side A. The faint pops and clicks will most probably be reduced/removed by a professional clean and I think these are caused by the plastic sleeve marks impressed on the surface over a long time of storage. The sleeve is very good, while the jacket has two minor scratches at the bottom, otherwise intact and good.
