Description
KOMMISSAR HJULER "Dissobedienti" ART EDITION, CREME - COLOURED vinyl 12" record, 2005, private release. Hand numbered edition of 18 copies. This box is the result of art collaboration between Scott Rautmann and Detlev Hjuler. Hand crafted wood box features collage artwork from real life photos, 50's & 60's 'girlie' and photography magazines along with clippings from German Police publications. A special cardboard, paper and wood sleeve, wrapped with images from the standard Lp cover, houses the record itself, which is in a clothe sleeve. The clothe sleeve is a custom designed jacket made from an authentic German Police uniform. Each clothe sleeve is unique. The actual Lp jacket sleeves are hand made art pieces by Detlev using paint, stickers and magazine scraps. The creme vinyl is exclusive to this edition, center labels are hand stamped. Comes with insert. Each box has a different stained finish. Box measures 2x15x15 inches. This is a new, unplayed copy
This box was the feature item in the 2007 Bielfeld, Museum Huelsmann exibit of Detlev's art alongside that of Joseph Beuys and Milan Knizak. The Museum also displayed the box as a several page layout in the album art retrospective book "Art in the Square. Album covers 1960-2005".
