THE KOOBAS: YESTERDAY HAS GONE
Original one sided Emidisc ACETATE of the Track "Yesterday Has Gone" (written by Teddy Randazzo / Victoria Pike). Recorded 1967 (or maybe 1968 - no session details available).
As far as I can see, this is UNRELEASED, if anybody knows of a released version by the Koobas, please get in contact.
"Yesterday Has Gone" was a success for CUPID'S INSPIRATION in 1968.
The Koobas version sounds like a mixture of Mod-Pop à la Who/Small Faces, mixed with Blue Eyed Soul. There is a horn section on this take, but it's not as prominent as on the Cupid's Inspiration version.
CONDITION: Acetates are always fragile and this has been played, there are some white discolarations or stains (I don't know) BUT the acetate plays well and has a great, full sound. Some crackling/popping at the beginning, but as said before, the acetate plays well. I' d strongly suggest that this will be digitalized professionaly, as it seems to be rare - and maybe this is the only copy of this recording?
