Although Kraftwerk's first three albums were groundbreaking in their own right, Autobahn is where the group's hypnotic electronic pulse genuinely came into its own.
The main difference between Autobahn and its predecessors is how it develops an insistent, propulsive pulse that makes the repeated rhythms and riffs of the shimmering electronic keyboards and trance-like guitars all the more hypnotising.
The 22-minute title track, in a severely edited form, became an international hit single and remains the peak of the band's achievements — it encapsulates the band and why they are important within one track — but the rest of the album provides soundscapes equally as intriguing.
Within Autobahn, the roots of electro-funk, ambient, and synth pop are all evident — a truly pioneering album

Clean, bright and fresh labels with just a few light spindle traces
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT++
Both surfaces shine like-new with just some light wispy hairlines visible under bright light - these have no audio consequence
VINYL Audio: NEAR MINT
Beautiful crystal clear and sharp sound throughout. My one careful play-check at loud volume revealed no major audio issues - no scratches, no loud clicks or pops and barely any surface noise to speak of (rare in my experience)
This is an extremely difficult LP to find playing well as virtually every other copy I've heard has either excessive surface noise or continual clicking which the sharp, crisp electronics cannot mask - but this one sounds great - just about the cleanest I've heard
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT+
The 1st issue embossed cover is also in great condition. The edges and spine (which is 'pinched' at the top and bottom) are crisp and sharp. There is a small mark on the back between KRAFTWERK and AUTOBAHN (please see close-up photo) but this looks like a manufacturing issue and not later rubbing
