Landmark recording by German electro pioneers, evoking a sound and style that would define early new wave electro-pop -- less minimalistic in its arrangements and more complex and danceable in its underlying rhythms. It's the chatter of servo-motors, the slow whine of monorails, of control signals manipulating remote machines. It's the sound of abstracted production. Over six tracks, Kraftwerk thoroughly and succinctly explored the impact of technology upon humanity. The Man Machine is remarkable for its consistency, elegance and absolute deliberation. So far ahead of its time, first original and virginal Japanese press issue all complete with obi.
