Tour De France is the electronic ode to cycling that closed out Kraftwerk's classic run, built from bicycle chains, breathing, and gear-shift rhythms rendered entirely in synthesizers. The 12" Maxi-Single features the full-length French Version and the extended Remix, the latter reworked by François Kevorkian — a key figure in early-'80s NYC club and remix culture.

This is an original US first pressing on Warner Bros., 0-20146, pressed by Specialty Records Corporation (SRC), with metal parts sourced from Allied Record Company — confirmed by the "E A S T" embossing around the center hole. Matrix reads SR1 on both sides, the earliest documented lacquer designation for this pressing.

Mastered at Sterling Sound, stamped in the runout on both sides.

Correct blue/white/red diagonal cover art with the cycling pack graphic — not the mispressed variant that occasionally turns up with mismatched Prince And The Revolution artwork.
