KRAFTWERK - Very rare Vertigo "swirl label" first UK pressing 2LP - 1972 - EX.
UK 1972 combined release of Kraftwerk's first two German albums (that were released on the German Philips label), in a gatefold sleeve.
NOT the more common later "Spaceship label" pressing.
The initial pressings have the Vertigo "swirl" design inner sleeves and disc labels.

Complete with original Vertigo swirl inner sleeves. Laminated outer sleeve.
Condition:
Records: Near mint. Exceptional copies. Perfectly flat.
Labels: Near mint
Cover: VG+. See photos. A few light marks and light ringwear. One more noticeable mark on the laminate below "Kraftwerk" on front cover. Spine lightly creased but nice and legible.
Original "Swirl" Inner sleeves: VG. A bit creased and a couple of small tears on one but overall VG.

This is a lovely copy and will only increase in value with time. Extremely hard to find in any condition, even harder to find in this condition.
Records are graded under a bright halogen lamp. As most serious record collectors know, this shows every detail, better even than natural sunlight, so you can be confident that records will not be over-graded. Where any doubt exists, records are play tested with a high quality turntable/cartridge. All items are from an extensive private collection (in a non-smoking home).
I have been collecting records for over 40 years and go by the "Record Collector" grading system. As I need to "thin out" my collection, I will be listing a lot of very rare and collectible records in the coming weeks / months so check back regularly or add me to your "favourite sellers" to get notifications.. All have been extremely well looked after and played infrequently (if at all!) on a high quality turntable. Covers have been protected in 400g polythene sleeves (and will be shipped in one). I will always attempt to mention any defects. However please look at the photographs carefully to have a clearer idea of the record and sleeve condition. Returns will only be accepted in the unlikely event that the item is not as described.
Records will be carefully packaged in high quality "cruciform" custom mailers and marked "Fragile - Please Do Not Bend". Records and inner sleeves will be packed outside the main cover to avoid damage in transit. I sometimes re-use quality packaging materials to reduce costs and help the environment.
Buy more than one item and save with combined postage. However, in this case, please wait for a combined invoice before making payment. Two or three records can usually post for the same cost as one. Please note: I will not profit on postage costs and do not add charges for packaging.
