Description
Various– Krypton Ten double LP + 7" [special edition of 100 with 1-sided 7" / #71/100] (Unwucht UN06/licensed from Onset/Offset NZ)
Special edition of 100 numbered copies which included a one sided 7" plus one of 100 original screen shots off the K9K9 VHS video, printed on high quality photo paper. The overall pressing was only 330 but #1-#100 came with a bonus 7" of Onset/Offset founder and band member of many Onset/Offset bands Campbell McLay (he was in The Builders, Dillinger's Brain, Scorched Earth Policy, The Bottletops, The Mammy Whammy Tata Band, The Riptoids, Toerag and others), I'm guessing Jimmy is Jim Nicholson (Riptoids, The Bottletops, Limbo Dancers). But that's just one tiny, albeit rare, aspect of this set (see the cheat sheet below for many of the gifts this bears.The records come in a screen printed gatefold sleeve with two double sided A4 size inserts.
LPs are MINT to MINT- (unplayed)/7" is MINT/cover is MINT/Inserts are MINT to MINT-.
All songs previously released between 1981-87 on locally distributed cassettes & records by Onset Offset Records, Christchurch NZ, with the exception of D1 and D4 (previously unreleased).

* Cherry Smash is Bill Direen (The Builders/Bilders/Six Impossible Things/Soluble Fish).
* They Were Expendable were on Flying Nun and also recorded as The Expendables. They were fronted by Flying Nun solo artist Jay Clarkson.
* The Riptoids were Campbell McLay's band, see above
* Ritual Sex was (again) Bill Direen
* Axemen: You ought to know The Axemen! Flying Nun, Siltbreeze, Luxury Products!
* We Too were Norman Dufty (Dillinger's Brain, The McGoohans) band, and they kinda ruled!
* George D Henderson fronted Mink and the great Flying Nun psych pop band The Puddle!
* The Bottletops kind of tied the whole Onset/Offset room together.
* Limbo Dancers were an On/Off-set super combo with Brent McLaughlin of The Gordons and Bailter Space drumming
* The Chance, another great combo with Desmond Brice (who co-wrote The Pin Group's Coat as well as working with Scorched Earth Policy, The Renderers and Ritchie Venus And The Blue Beetles…), Jeff Carey & John Segovia (Axel Grinderss, Shaft & The Renderers)
* Alec Bathgate is, of course, half of the Tall Dwarfs as well as former guitarist with The Enemy & Toy Love
* The McGoohans held within their ranks members of Gas, Drowning Is Easy, Scorched Earth Policy, Dillinger's Brain, The Puddle, The Terminals and…wait for it!! 25 Cents (25c), Flying Nun's fiercest garage band!
* Ritchie Venus employed many people, pretty consistently Mick Elboradoaka MS Argo (The Terminals, The Shallows, Scorched Earth Policy, -2, Gas, Space Dust), Norman Dufty's here too, as is Jiohn Markie (Vacuum [with Bill Direen])

* Drowning Is Easy is a band that would in some way morph into Gas (see Siltbreeze EP) and included the aforementioned Terminal Mick Elborado (a swell guitarist!)

* Scorched Earth Policy…c'mon people, keep up…Flying Nun, missing link betwixt the The Vacuum, 25 Cents, The Pin Group, The Shallows, Victor Dimisich Band, The Terminals & The Renderers!
* The Bilderbergers…well, I guess given that the song's called High Thirties Piano and The Builders also recorded High Thirties Piano, this one's gonna be Bill Direen.
* The Puddle…Yea! The Puddle. You really ought to own Pop Lib, Live At The Teddy Bear Club, Into The Moon ?(all on Flying Nun Records) and later albums like Songs For Emily Valentine ?(are you there Captured Tracks?!?)
Really, this album is every bit a gem of New Zealand early to mid- 1980's musical exploration, mostly of the Christchurch community. Free spirited, gifted and inventive musicians with no one to impress and nothing to prove; and brilliance was made.
A quick note about international postage rates: In 2013 & again in 2016 the US Postal Service significantly raised the cost of shipping packages (to everywhere outside the US). With my shipping prices I try to do my best to reflect accurate shipping costs & packaging material (I do try to be responsible & recycle when I can). I know that international buyers have seen these greater costs in buying from the states and I want to apologize and simply state that the US Postal Service is struggling to break even in the wake of evaporating traditional mail traffic and that costs those who still mail packages.
