Nach dem Studioalbum "The Prelude Implicit", begab sich die Rock-Legende KANSAS 2016 auf eine ausgiebige US Tournee, um dieses Album, ihr neues Line-Up und 40 Jahre "Leftoverture" zu zelebrieren. Dabei wurde in 12 Städten mitgeschnitten und mit Produzent Jeff Glixman (Kansas, Magnum, Gary Moore) entstand ein zweistündiges Live-Opus, welches unter dem Titel "Leftoverture Live & Beyond" veröffentlicht wird. Die eindrucksvolle Setlist umfasst das komplette "Leftoverture" Album, diverse Stücke von "The Prelude Implicit" sowie Klassiker aus den Siebzigern. Das ohne Overdubs auskommende Album klingt gerade deswegen herrlich authentisch und intensiv.
