Richard Wagner: Der Ring des Nibelungen- Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried, Götterdämmerung

Herbert von Karajan conducting the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.

With Vickers, Talvela, Janowitz, Ludwig, Stewart, Brilioth and many more.

German Ed1 DGG stereo pressings from the late 60s to 1970. Four separate boxes with 19LPs altogether.

Walküre (5LPs) & Rheingold (3LPs) have big tulip „Made in Germany“- labels,

Siegfried (5LPs) & Götterdämmerung (6LPs) have early small tulip labels.

Please notice: The first one to be issued in 1967 was Walküre, followed by Rheingold in ‘68, Siegfried in ‘69 and Götterdämmerung in ‘70.

The slighly differentiating box-designs (no text on back of Walküre, no tulip on spine of Rheingold) are original for the 1st edition pressings.

Dates on the innersleeves perfectly match with the issuing history of the respective volumes.

Only the Walküre-box has a Grand Prix sticker.

All box-sets should be first or early pressings.

• Condition Boxes: VG+ to EX. Some light general wear and discoloration
  

• Condition Vinyl: NM. Hardly any of these discs has ever been played. A virtually perfect set.
