Description
Richard Wagner: Der Ring des Nibelungen- Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried, Götterdämmerung
Herbert von Karajan conducting the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
With Vickers, Talvela, Janowitz, Ludwig, Stewart, Brilioth and many more.
German Ed1 DGG stereo pressings issued between the late 60s and 1970.
Four separate boxes with 19LPs altogether.
Walküre (5LPs) & Rheingold (3LPs) have big tulip „Made in Germany“- labels,
Siegfried (5LPs) & Götterdämmerung (6LPs) have first small tulip labels.
Please notice: The first one to be issued in 1967 was Walküre, followed by Rheingold in ‘68, Siegfried in ‘69 and Götterdämmerung in ‘70.
The slighly differentiating box-designs (no text on back of Walküre, no tulip on spine of Rheingold) are original for the 1st edition pressings.
Please check the pictures to see that the dates on the innersleeves perfectly match with the issuing history of the respective volumes.
Walküre-box already has a Grand Prix sticker, but since innersleeves have dates from 1967, it can still be considered an early pressing.

Condition Boxes: EX. Very light general wear, some rubbing marks on fronts. Siegfried has some more obvious wear and is VG+.

Condition Vinyl: NM. Some sides played once or twice, many seem unplayed. Pristinely preserved surfaces throughout.

Condition Booklets: NM. Booklet for Götterdämmerung is VG+, since this has a bit of foxmarks on front.

- I offer combined shipping for multiple purchases and I'll always send an invoice with correct rates shortly after auction-end.
- Unless you notify me in time, payment is expected within 5 days after receiving of invoice. If I don't at least hear from you in between, I'll send a non-payment notification through Ebay
afterwards.
- I use sturdy cardboard-boxes and cardboard-dividers, both specifically designed for the safe shipping of vinyl records.
- Most LPs receive new antistatic innersleeves (in addition to the original ones, which of course are also provided). I, however, don't add new sleeves, if the original ones seem fitting.

A note about my record-grading:
I usually only visually grade the LPs under strong light and I only playgrade them ( i.e. the portions that seem to have signs of usage), if I can't be sure of their actual condition.
If records show stronger signs of soiling I'll professionally clean them (Okki Nokki RCM), but I'm not doing this if it's obviously only dust, as I know that collectors usually prefer their
very own way of record-cleaning.
My goal is to always decribe the records appropriately and I will name every visible and/or audible defect in my detailed description. If regardless of my precautions
you should ever be dissatisfied with the condition of a record, please contact me before leaving negative or neutral feedback to give me the chance to resolve your query.
I'm confident, however, that this will hardly ever be the case. I've been selling records for many years now and so far complaints fortunately have been the utter exception!
