Too Much Of A Good Thing / You Better Sit Down Kids. Northern Soul. 1968. "Too Much of a Good Thing" by Karen Young is considered a Northern Soul track. Specifically, it is a 1960s soul recording by the British singer of the same name that became a popular dancefloor filler in the UK club scene.  Northern Soul Credentials Club Popularity: The track was featured on the playlist of the legendary Wigan Casino between 1976 and 1978.
