This is in my top 5 albums of all time so I will try to be objective when play grading but for a singer song writers first attempt this album is nothing short of miraculous.
Every Singles track on this album is a work of art in every sense, in years to come more people will understand that Kate was not just a singer who danced through wuthering heights but a writer who has performed at the very top of the music scene for decades.
Fantastic audio throughout, warm tones and only the lightest occasional static heard only between the tracks (more on the last track of side two, the kick inside).The static may be removed by a professional clean or a few more plays as this record has sat unplayed for over 30 years.
The disc lays totally flat on my deck and when played.
Laminated both sides sleeve printed by Garrod & Lofthouse 7802 (Feb 1978)
Stunning First issue in exceptional condition, complete with first issue sleeve and original inner sleeve.
The vinyl shows no playing signs at all, the label suggests only 3 or 4 plays AT THE MOST based on the spindle traces that can be seen when holding the disc up to the light.
Even under the brightest light I cannot even see any dusts marks that are almost impossible not to get from moving the vinyl in and out of the inner sleeve.
The sleeve shows some light signs of handling with a couple of minor creases but as you can see by the pictures this is a very tidy cover, no tears, not seams splits and no writing. The spine is square and unbroken with all three sections of the text in perfect condition.
The inner sleeve is in great condition with no tears or seam splits, it does show a few signs of its 36 years but in near mint condition.
