Description

Wow, this is an incredible find! The Sun Bear Concerts represent probably the magnum opus of Keith Jarrett's incredible career -- but then again, if you're here you probably know what you're looking at. Ten LPs of next-level solo piano improvisation, each of which could go toe to toe with the Köln Concert.
So let's talk about the LPs first. I BELIEVE THESE LPs HAVE NEVER BEEN PLAYED. I am not the original owner of this box, but judging by the quality of the vinyl they can't have been taken out more than once or twice. All are in their original poly sleeves and are so minty-fresh that the veneer reflects a rainbow under light! (Check the pictures for examples.) 
I only took ONE record out to photograph, but inspected each one and can guarantee that all are in as terrific condition as the one pictured.
As for the packaging, I rate this a high VG with some qualifications. The paper ECM used to wrap the album box is thin and easily worn, so there is some wear at the corners and edges of the binding. 
There's a small stain near the center of the cover and light discoloration, and the individual album sleeves have some wear at the bottom, likely due to improper storage. All this is pictured, by the way -- take a look and make up your own mind if you think I'm being generous with my grading.
The biggest flaw is a ~1.5" tear in the paper on the spine (exposing the book-quality linen binding underneath, I might add). This is also pictured.
The attached booklet, however, is in perfect condition. The paper is still glossy, the photos are BEAUTIFUL and the pages are uncreased, untorn -- just generally unblemished.
All in all, this is more than just a collection of incredible music. It's a work of art in its own right and deserving of a true connoisseur. I've started the bidding low because of the minor sleeve blemishes, but believe me -- this set is a bargain at any price.
