Description

A rare first edition 1971 . On the Vertigo label .  Playback quality very good , cover and sleeve show signs of ageing.

First released on Vertigo in 1971, Keith Tippett Group’s Dedicated to You, But You Weren’t Listening remains a landmark of British jazz-rock, blending fiery improvisation with Canterbury scene sensibilities. 

Led by pianist, composer and arranger Tippett, the album features a stellar cast including Robert Wyatt, Brian Spring and Phil Howard on drums, Gary Boyle on guitar, bassists Ray Babbington and Neville Whitehead, and percussionist Tony Uter. Horn duties come courtesy of Elton Dean, Marc Charig and Nick Evans, whose interplay with Tippett’s piano drives the music’s exuberance.
