Kelly Jones - Only The Names Have Changed V2 Label - VVR1046271 2007 UK First Pressing On Black Vinyl
This listing is for an incredibly rare 1 of 500 one off pressing from Stereophonics front man Kelly Jones.  Recorded in between sessions for Pulling The Pin, each song tells a story of different women which have touched Kelly's life either directly or through media stories.  Its a breathtaking piece of recording and even more amazing when you read in the sleeve that a lot of it was one take and even on one track was made up on the spot in the studio.  This copy has been signed by the great man himself and the only copy I have seen to be so.  I am not qualified to authenticate the signature but comparing it to other examples and the one printed on the inner sleeves I am quite sure it is genuine.  However I have priced in line with un-signed previous examples which have sold recently, so a great find for Phonics fans and music collectors alike.
If the item does not sell quickly I will not hesitate to add it to my collection, so if you are genuinely interested please contact me asap.
Please check out my other listings for other rarities and classics across various genres.
All of my records are play tested on a Technics SL-1200 with a Grado GF3 stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players.  Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
** The below gradings are conservative and without cleaning the record due to it's high value and me being clumsy.  If you have any concerns or specific questions please do not hesitate to contact me as I would rather you were fully satisfied before buying.
Record Appearance - VG+ There are no scratches under a bright light, just the odd whisper line or craze from sleeve removal, nothing that affects play.  The surface has dulled and there is considerable dust so I would definitely recommend a machine clean for this.  The labels are in good condition with just a couple of pressure tears on one side but this would have been from the manufacturing process.  There are no signs of spindle marks under a bright light suggesting only light use.
Record Audio - NM I was not expecting much from the amount of dust/grime on the record but there is barely any surface noise bar the odd dust crackle on run in and in between tracks.  The audio is just out of this world, stop what you are doing or saying and listen good.  With only being made in a quantity of 500 this means you are getting the best quality audio reproduction.  I love the first track, it is so moving and spine tingling and to hear it on vinyl for the first time with the pin sharp sound it is like he is sat next to you, an experience not to be missed.
Record Sleeve - VG As you will probably see from the pictures there are considerable creases on all corners which is exaggerated by the black background.  I believe this comes from item being kept sealed for a number of years putting pressure on the corners, due to the low quality sleeve.  I am not a fan of keeping records sealed in general but a great example of why not to.  You will be hard pressed to find a copy which does not have similar sleeve wear unfortunately, in fact you will hard pressed to find another copy full stop.   There is a scuff on the top edge which has broken the surface slightly, if you would like a picture close up please let me know, sorry I forgot to focus on it when I did them.  The rest of the corners and edges are fine and titles are fully legible, although again the quality of the card is poor so structure is a beat weak.  Apart from the corner creases already mentioned the rest of the faces of the sleeve are fine with no obvious indentations or ring wear.  The signature is stunning with just a slight smudge on the bottom of the "J" but at least that proves it is live ink.  A wonderful rare piece which I really don't want to sell but I have agreed with better half if I can't get close to the asking price I can keep it, so don't buy it haha.  Like I said any question no matter how trivial please do not hesitate, I am a collector first seller second so I will understand.
All questions answered and offers considered.  Thanks for looking and please follow me and check out my other listings as they appear.  I work full time and have 3 children so please forgive any delay in communication but should be within 24 hours.
