Up for your Consideration is this 1960 Used 33-1/3 LP Jazz Album by “Ken McIntyre” titled “Stone Blues” Originally released in 1960 on Prestige New Jazz Record Label …with a product number of NJ8259-…Mono- Pressing LP Vinyl: in NM- Condition : NO surface marks on side 1 and side 2 has 2 surface marks quality is superb NO scratches, none of the marks are noticeable when being played…No snap, crackle or pops … The original luster is intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new...Paper Sleeve:  Plain White...Labels: both Side in EX+ Condition, Purple  with Grey writing Reads "New Jazz  High Fidelity"   Run Off or Dead Wax  reads “RVG” inscribed on both sides… Album Cover: is in NM Condition, it looks like the shrink wrap is still on it but it is just the luster of the high gloss cover the 4 corners have little dings on them...  the back reads “Prestige Records Inc., 203 So. Washington Ave, Bergenfield, N.J.. there is ”RW” the upper left hand corner and reads “Insp. By 14”…overall what I see is a Used 33RPM Album in NMT- Condition … I have listed a rating chart below... I inspect everything under bright spot light and state what I see, plus I have the album played for sound quality... Please look at all of the pictures since they are a part of the description also... History

This early effort by Ken McIntyre (who doubles here on alto and flute) grows in interest with each listen. On a couple of his six originals (including a song called 'Cornballs'), McIntyre slide humorously between notes but other selections are much more serious. McIntyre's sidemen are now somewhat obscure (trombonist John Mancebo Lewis, pianist Dizzy Sal, bassist Paul Morrison and drummer Bobby Ward) but they fit well into his conception which at this early stage was essentially advanced bop slightly influenced by the 'new thing' music of Ornette Coleman.
