Description

Blue Note 1523 with 767 Lexington Ave. NYC address on both labels and the bottom of the back cover. Deep groove on both sides. Record has "ear" and "RVG" inscribed in the dead wax. Group includes Tommy Flanagan, piano; Paul Chambers, bass; Kenny Clarke, drums; Candido, conga drums on 6 tracks. Clarke and Candido perform alone on 1 track. Rare original edition. Cover VG Aging scotch tape along the bottom edge. Appears more for protection than repair. Small 1/2" scotch tape applied to each corner. This was probably done to protect against corner wear. The tape has haged and there is some discoloration. In spite of the corner protection, there is some corner wear. No apparent splits on the edges. Initials of former owner written on the back cover and small markings near several tunes in the listing on the back cover. Partial record ring on the back cover along with some aging and light soil from handling. The cover is clean with slight rub marks that have dulled the original gloss finish. The front cover has a fine appearance just shows slight natural age. Heavy cardboard jacket. Record: VG Visually shows light to moderate wear. There is a gloss finish to the vinyl. There are a series of fine, brush-like surface marks on both sides. These are not scratches. There are intervals of crackling and some clicks throughout. Most are at a low audible level and vary somewhat from track to track with the most noise on Track 4, Side 1. On most tracks the sound is only moderately audible and not continuous. On some tunes there is only minor noise. I have tried to clearly define the condition and have graded accordingly. Heavy vinyl pressing. Audibly checked.
