Description
This is a very early deep-groove RVG-etched “P” pressing by Kenny Burrell on the Lexington Avenue labels of Blue Note BLP 1543 (no “INC.”). The flat rim playing surface has a nice luster on Side 1, but shows some visible and audible wear at the beginning of track 1; Side 2 has more visible and audible wear throughout – scuffs, hairlines, superficial marks that can’t be felt. The Andy Warhol non- laminated cover has the West 63rd St., New York 23 address, but no frame on the front – the only detail that distinguishes this from a completely original copy. The cover is bright and clean. The seams have been professionally restored. Personnel include Kenny Dorham, J.R.
