Description

Kenny Dorham UNA MAS - Music Matters 2LP 45RPM Edition, Sealed, Mint and LONG out of print! This is Super Low #0145. With Herbie Hancock, the great Joe Henderson, and a very young Tony Williams on drums (he was 17 when these tracks were recorded!). Great sound, great playing. Here's your chance to get this out of print rarity at a fair market price.

ABOUT 45 RPM PRESSINGS

While some folks don't like the 45 RPM format (yes, you do have to get up and change sides more often), it's not hype: with more vinyl real estate for your stylus to operate within, volume levels are maintained consistently across all tracks (with 33 1/3, as you get closer to the inner groove you will lose volume because the grooves get smaller), and there's LOTS more room for the bass frequencies. A mastering engineer has to juggle all these factors, usually leading to certain compromises, when pressing at 33 1/3. The common wisdom in the audiophile community is that, when done well, 45 rpm pressings are as close as you'll get to the master tape.
