Kenny Graham and his Satellites – Moondog And Suncat Suites; Label: MGM Records – MGM C 764; Vinyl, LP, Released: Mar 1958 (UK).
This is a very rare 1958 album (1957 in US) of jazz interpretations of Moondog originals all performed by a great British jazz line up and engineered by a young Joe Meek. The early New York street recordings of the great Moondog struck a nerve with many artists and musicians, none more so that London jazzman Kenny Graham. So inspired was he that he decided to bring together a band and pay his very own musical homage. The result is this exceptionally rare and unique album of Moondog cover versions (Moondog Suite) and Graham's very own complimentary composition (Suncat Suite).
Condition: Cleaned/Played. Very Good vinyl, some surface noise in quiet passages but not affecting the overall crisp playback (see video clip with photos). Cover intact and very good for age but crushed/torn in one corner (see photos). I appreciate these descriptions are subjective and happy to accept domestic returns (buyer pays postage) if you feel description doesn't match your views.

Combined postage available at no extra cost up to 3 x LPs/2kg. Dispatched in robust cardboard mailer with the record removed from the outer sleeve to prevent damage during transit and placed in a new poly lined white inner sleeve inside a soft polythene cover. The tracking used provides confirmation of delivery but not in transit tracking.
