Description
This is an un-opened original 1980 release, perfect for collectors, (like Michael Klausman who discovered Kenny) or someone just wanting the original to compare to the Bachelor of Paradise re-issue. The re-issue was produced by BOP in cooperation with Numero Group (we have those also). If you like B.W. Stevenson, The Youngbloods, Gram Parsons, Gene Clark, Lawrence Hammond, F.J. McMahon, pedal steel guitars, and Leslie speakers, you will enjoy Crossroads. “There’s a very singular combination of heartsickness and hope running throughout Crossroads, a still timely grappling with the realities of getting by in this country. You can hear it most clearly in ‘America,’ which is both a paean to this nation and a plea to it: ‘don’t lock me out.’ This juggling of sophisticated dualities extends even to his love songs, as on “One Down” (possibly the album’s finest track, and one which could sit comfortably next to American Beauty’s best), where he asks, ‘how much can one heart take?’ while still acknowledging that he’ll ‘stay in love forever more.’” – Michael Klausman. My favorite of the album is "Baby's Back", which is a toe-tapping country classic based on our on/again off/again relationship. Help support an old musician still trying to make it by buying the album from him direct and, if you want, he'll sign it for you. Thank you! Pam Knight - Note, please add $3.00 to shipping cost as we will only ship insured.
